Gedurende het collegejaar 2014-2015 werkte prof. Ivan Brown (adjunct professor, Centre for Applied Disability Studies, Brock University, Canada) als visiting professor bij de Leerstoel Disability Studies voor de duur van tweemaal drie weken.
Ivan Brown verzorgde in november en december 2014 drie colleges. Deze collegereeks is vervolgd in maart en april 2015. De colleges waren bedoeld voor geïnteresseerde onderzoekers en PhD. studenten van Quality of Care en/of Disability Studies. Deelnemers die voldoende aanwezig waren ontvingen een certificaat als bewijs van deelname vanuit de Academy of the International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities.
