ZonMW program ‘Disability Studies’

The Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development (ZonMW) funded the Disability Studies research program (2010-2012). This research program consisted of seven projects around the way people with different disabilities – physical, mental, intellectual or sensory – live and how they are perceived by people in society. With this program ZonMW, in partnership with the Handicap + Study foundation and the Revalidation Fund, contributed to the start of ‘Disability Studies in the Netherlands’: a structural Disability Studies research and education program.
