Ikenna Ebuenyi, arts en promovendus aan het Athena Instituut, en deelnemer aan de Lorentz workshop van DSiN, schreef deze maand de blog, met als titel 'Migrant Mental Health; beyond the medicine chest and the couch'.
Ebuyeni: "Migrants with mental health challenges have recognized disabilities and are sometimes unable to access needed care. (...) It is essential that policies that seek to address migrant mental health in the Netherlands consider it as recognized disability and treat it as such. It may be helpful to explore pathways to addressing the social determinants of mental health in order to improve the health of migrants in the country."
